M.I.Y. Designs, LLC ("Company", "we", "us") operates the M.I.Y. Designs Manufacturing Integration Platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information processed through the Service.

1. Information We Collect

The Service processes the following categories of business data through authorized third-party integrations:

• Financial data: Invoices, expenses, purchase orders, and account balances from QuickBooks Online.
• Order data: Customer orders, fulfillment status, and shipping information from Shopify.
• Inventory data: Stock levels, part numbers, bill-of-materials, and supplier information from InvenTree.
• Manufacturing data: Print job records, filament usage, calibration data, and workflow states.
• Communication data: Email metadata and content processed through the email integration.

2. How We Use Information

Data processed by the Service is used solely for:

• Coordinating manufacturing workflows from design through production.
• Synchronizing inventory and financial records across platforms.
• Generating traceability records linking finished products to source materials.
• Internal business reporting and operational decision-making.

3. Data Storage and Security

All data is stored on privately hosted infrastructure. We implement the following security measures:

• Encryption in transit (TLS) for all API communications.
• Encryption at rest for stored data and backups.
• Network segmentation with isolated VLANs for each service tier.
• OAuth 2.0 authentication with token-based access controls.
• Encrypted offsite backups with 30-day retention.

4. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with the following third-party platforms, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Intuit QuickBooks Online — financial data synchronization.
• Shopify — e-commerce order and inventory management.
• Atlassian Jira — project and task tracking.

We access only the data necessary for the integrations described above and do not sell or share data with any parties beyond these authorized integrations.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data processed by the Service. Data is shared only:

• Between the integrated platforms listed above, as required for manufacturing operations.
• When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

6. Data Retention

Business data is retained for as long as necessary for operational and legal compliance purposes. Backups are retained for 30 days. You may request deletion of specific records by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of data processed by the Service by contacting us. We will respond to requests within 30 days.
